The ghost of a mom get's a little too intense for the Enterprise. Okay, it isn't really a ghost of the kid's mom, but it might as well be. An episode where the death of a random crewmember actually matters is rather novel. Too bad in Rodenberry's idealistic future mourning is really weird. Maybe we should all just invest in Klingon candles.
