In this week’s episode, we’re discussing where marketing stops and sales begin and how understanding the role each of these departments plays can improve messaging and conversions.
What a lot of companies assume is that marketing funnels leads to a salesman, then the salesman closes the deal. What we’ve found is that not only is this often true, but in fact marketing touches each department in your company. Marketing’s job is to attract customers and tell those customers how the company is going to solve their problem.
This can even lead to some tension between the sales and marketing teams so open and clear communication about how to better lead quality is essential. When all departments are in sync, everyone benefits (including the customer) and everyone’s jobs are easier!
