What is up EVERYBODY! I hope you all had a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year. Per usual I'd like to say Welcome back to the WORLDs iLLEST Podcast Through My Eyes with 1 Eyed Willie. It is now 2022 and we are on Season 2 Episode 27: CYCLES Feat. Joey Phantom.
Packed inside this episode you can hear Joey and I spend some time chopping it up about Jack Harlow's recent concert series in Louisville, KY and the current state of the culture in Kentucky. From there Joey and I move into talk about the Jake Paul vs Woodley fight and thoughts about the outcome of the fight.
After chatting about current news topics I dig into Joey's background and give him the opportunity to talk about growing up in Louisville, how his surroundings and upbringing shaped him into who he is today and how getting into trouble with the law and ending up on probation made him think about life and the direction he was headed. Joey goes into his family structure, what his mother and father did for a living to pay bills and provide for their family.
Later in the interview Joey talks about how he excelled in high school inside of the classroom as well as with sports. During this time Joey would also grow a love for hip-hop culture through the like of Lil Wayne and others in the industry. From there Joey would decide to pick up his pen and begin to write and rap music.
Joey has had the opportunity to work with various artists and producers within the industry, gives us a story about being in the studio with some big names in the business and talks about projects he has released in the past and his recent project CYCLES, a 7 track EP with tracks "Dear Lucy" and "Cycles".
