Waddup WORLd...Welcome back to The WORLDs iLLEST Podcast...Through My Eyes With 1 Eyed Willie and this is Season 2 Episode 19: I'm Not a Rapper...I Rap! Feat. G6ates. Reppin' Rivera, FL aka The Raw where G6ates and him and his siblings grew up. Inside this episode G6ates talks about growing up in The Raw and being exposed the street life at an early age.
As all other kids growing up G6ates fell in love with music at an early age. Living right outside of Miami G6ates would hear Uncle Luke, Trick Daddy, Slip-N-Slide Rick Ross and a host of others who rapped on those down south Florida Bounce beats. Although G6ates had a love for music at an early age he still didn't start rapping until later on in life.
Growing up G6ates would lose his father at a very early age. His mother would remarry and his step-father would raise him and his older brothers. After living in The Raw for the early part of life things would get crazy and G6ates mother decided to move. G6ates and his family would land in Radcliff, KY.
Here G6ates would attend John Hardin High School where he would attempt to play football but after being suspended for fighting he was kick off the team and would find himself playing the streets. After getting arrested and doing multiple stretches G6ates' brother pushed him to begin rapping. Only being in the game for a short period of time G6ates has been on the road state to state working with producers and artists building his name and resume.
