Our guest today is the incredibly talented singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Sarah Kinsley. With roots in classical music, Sarah’s journey into contemporary music led her to start writing and composing her own songs. She's now set to release her highly anticipated debut album, Escaper, this Friday. This indie pop record showcases Sarah’s growth as an artist, with grand arrangements and beautiful instrumentation, featuring the production work of John Congleton. In today’s episode, we chat with Sarah about stepping out of her home studio to collaborate with Congleton, how she knew the songs on Escaper would form her debut album, and delve into one of my favourite tracks, "My Name is Dancing." We also reminisce about our time together at SXSW Sydney last year and discuss her experience touring with Mitski.
