As human beings, we often have the misconception that if we live righteously, everything we ask from God will be answered immediately. While God is quick to answer prayers and we do receive what we ask for, sometimes the timing of the answer may be years. This delay may lead us to remove the request from our prayer list, but it doesn't mean that God won't answer it eventually. He surely will. During the waiting period, it's important to focus on bringing glory to God and continue serving Him. The lives of Zechariah and Elizabeth illustrate this situation.
