Rustie Robison: Project-Based Learning
Manage episode 273437153 series 2798646
Have you heard of project-based learning? I have but not enough to really try it. It seemed like too much during the one training I went to. I also thought, "How am I suppose to do projects in a virtual classroom? How is that even possible?" Like most training I've attended, they are talking to you and normally without examples or hands-on experience. Which is funny because project-based learning is completely student-centered. However after talking to Rusie Robison from Destinations Career Academy of Colorado, I'm completely inspired and see that it's not as hard as I was making it out to be in my mind. Yes it's going to require me to do some upfront work, but nothing I haven't ever done before. I don't need to go get a different degree or attend a training to make it happen.
However, I do like to research and found these books* that may be helpful
- Project Based Learning Made Simple: 100 Classroom-Ready Activities that Inspire Curiosity, Problem Solving and Self-Guided Discovery for Third, Fourth and Fifth Grade Students.*
