While just doing a little research about our city we learned some amazing facts about Old Louisville. Did you know it is the third largest historic district in the country, and the single largest historic district in the country that features primarily Victorian architecture? Did you know Old Louisville was where the Southern Exposition was held? Did you know Thomas Edison unveiled the light bulb for the first time there? This is just a few of the things we learned in our brief research, and there is so much more that could be learned from the historical societies that have made it all possible to preserve this iconic part of our city.
