For a list of 100 books that changed my life, click here. There's a lot of books on there that helped me on my mental health journey. In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, I wanted to make a short video about my struggles with depression and how I've dealt with it. I've never shared this publicly and keep my mental health struggles to myself and family and close friends. But I figured if I made a video explaining what worked for me, and it helped one person, that it was worth putting this out there. I first experienced clinical depression in high school and its persisted my entire adult life. I've attempted suicide, I've struggled with addiction, I've been in a mental hospital, I've seen a ton of psychiatrists, tried every antidepressant, etc. And it took forever to really start making progress. I wanted to share what I've learned on my journey in the hopes that it will help you recover quicker. I have to say that my views are my own and I am not a doctor. These are just my experiences and what worked for me. If you are struggling with your mental health, please seek medical attention first.#mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealth #depression
