It’s no secret, 2020 was one of, if not THE, most turbulent years in modern history. In today’s episode I go into why I stopped doing podcasts in 2020, how meditation changed my entire life, what I’m up to now, and plans and ideas for the future. I spent 2017-2020 completely off the charts in stress and anxiety. I changed jobs more times that I can even remember, I almost moved to Florida, and the financial roller coaster my family experienced was nauseating. This past year capped it all off. Between a worldwide pandemic, the George Floyd protests, riots, burnt up cities, and the most ridiculous Presidential election ever, I had to shut up and check out for the year. Everyone was mad at each other, about EVERYTHING. Everyone seemed to have had an MBA paired with an opinion on societal conditions, virology, and political science, and pretty much anything else the mainstream news told us we needed to be arguing over. Every single thing we faced turned into a fight and without realizing, we exposed ourselves to infection-level amounts of negativity. So I learned to meditate. I learned breath work. I executed these new ideas and techniques into my own life, and everything changed. A six figure opportunity fell into my lap, I became more present and patient with my family, and I just feel…good. For the first time in a LONG time. I’m inspired by the idea of helping other people, YOU guys, learn about the same things that have made my own life just so much more enjoyable. So today, I went over the transition period. I shared some ideas and the journey I needed to undergo to arrive in a place where I’m now a certified meditation teacher ready to help busy people have more enjoyable lives by balancing stress and anxiety with short, simple mindfulness practices. As we move forward, I’m going to teach some Meditation 101 level classes, share breath work practices, opened up a Meditation Masterclass, group and 1:1 coaching, workshops, meetups, and retreats. All of it will be built around the ThoughtSound Meditation Club, a FREE Facebook Group that is the hub of all things that will create positivity and growth in your life.
