“We go into this project not looking for awards but it's good actually to recognise the contribution of our staff and it's also a good way for our suppliers and the other stakeholders in this to be recognised as well. So it's a win-win-win for customers, us and the contractors.”

If you could cut your tenants’ heating bills by 80%, you would, wouldn’t you? That’s what River Clyde Homes think they’ve achieved at a multi-storey block with 91 flats on the wild and windy hill above Greenock.

So Jimmy Black and Kieran Findlay got in the car and went to see chief executive Richard Turnock and head of energy & sustainability Duncan Smith, as well as Ryan Ferrier, design manager from Kier Construction, for a guided tour of their energy centre and the fabulously refurbished Prospecthill Court, which is now a very desirable multi.
