The Philadelphia Flyers are making moves as they continue to set the foundation of their rebuild. General Manager Danny Briere and the front office certainly have a vision for the future, and things appear to be….making sense? This week, Ryan Quigley from BroadStreetHockey.com joined us for a dive into this Flyers team, the rebuild, and some talent we’ve been keeping our eyes on this season. It as a fantastic discussion!
But first, we dove into Jason Kelce’s retirement from pro football and the Philadelphia Eagles. We got into what he not only meant to the team, his understanding of the fans and media, and how Cam Jurgens now has some big shoes to fill. (approx. 4:15)
We then gave our new Top-3 List: the best sports speeches of all-time! (approx. 23:00)
The Phillies re-signed Zack Wheeler to a contract extension that has us very excited for the team’s future. (approx. 37:05)
From there, we depressingly talked about the Sixers, how terrible they’ve been playing on the court, yet trying to find some positives with players like Ricky Council. (approx. 43:05)
What we threw down on the Table this week was an in-depth discussion and interview with Ryan Quigley from Broad Street Hockey about the direction the Flyers are heading. Giving Nick Seeler a contract extension. Trading Sean Walker and what that means for the future. Reflections from Danny Briere’s press conference from this past week. A look at Tyson Foerster’s developmental season. Plus much more within this discussion! (approx. 52:50)
