On this week’s MiLB Talk, Derrik, Jake and Hunter start with six reported promotions in the Red Sox minor league season that came down Monday: David Sandlin and Connelly Early are headed to Portland, Noah Dean and Elmer Rodriguez are going to Greenville, and Franklin Arias are making their way to Salem from FCL. What do we make of the moves, and are there more promotions coming? The guys do a brief rundown of the performances at each level of the minors during the abbreviated weekend series after the All Star break, including Hunter’s rundown of seeing the WooSox in person. They also give their Position Player and Pitcher of the Mid-Year for each level. Among the players discussed include Chase Meidroth, Jason Alexander, Kyle Teel, Kristian Campbell, Hunter Dobbins, Isaac Coffey, Mikey Romero, Bryan Gonzalez, Allan Castro, Stanley Tucker and more.
