As the sun sets on another day, I find myself walking the familiar path of reflection and remembrance, a journey many of us know all too well. I also pay homage to Gina, my dearest friend of 32 years, on what would have been her 65th birthday. while discussing the complex emotions that arise when joyous occasions like a Knott's Berry Farm visit remind us of those no longer here. The unexpected loss of local news station KTLA's reporter Sam Rubin also serves as a reminder that every day is a gift.
