The one resource we all have in equal measure is time. How we "spend" our time determines the quality of our lives. We can invest it in everything from making money to making friends, to a great family, or merely pleasure. When we get to Heaven we will be rewarded in accordance to how we spent our time for God. Relationships are God's first priority; relationship with God, ourselves, and others. I start with our relationship with ourselves. The emphasis here is on self-awareness. The scripture passage is Romans 12:3 Questions: 1. What do you think of the idea that how you spend your time is the central issue of your Christian life? 2. Have you ever examined how you spend your time? If so, what did you discover? 3. How do you think you would react to the psychological experiment of having to sit alone for 15 minutes to think about your life? Positive or Negative reaction? 4. When was the last time you thought about how your history has made you the person you are today? If you have, what did you discover? 5. When was the last time you examined your strengths AND weaknesses, or your disappointments, or unhealed brokenness, habitual sins or areas of weakness to temptation? If you have, what did you discover?
