As a marketing expert, professional algorithm pleaser and sales psychology guru... I have a few things to clear up because the algorithm is taking a right battering on social media recently and honestly it's not fair
The algorithm (there isn't one there are hundreds working simultaneously) has one single purpose. To keep you scrolling.
It chooses content that is relevant, fun, engaging and interesting.
If you fail to make content that is fun, interesting, relevant, engaging and interesting the algorithm will not pick up on it.
That's not the algorithm's fault. That is its entire job!
Yes the algorithm changes, a lot. That's because our preferences change a lot.
