The difference between chapter two and chapter three represents 40 years. And so, when we finish chapter two, we've got a 40-year gap we know nothing of Moses's life except that he was shepherding a flock of Jethro for those 40 years.
We pick up the text in chapter 3, verse 1. And I'd like to read it to you this morning. Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro, his father -in -law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to of the mountain of God.
