Why Aren't Listeners Commenting? Exploring Engagement on The Earnest Mann Show

Hey folks, it's Earnest Mann here, bringing you another thought-provoking episode. Today, I'm tackling an interesting observation – why are so many of you reluctant to comment on YouTube? Despite the enticing contest and the offer of answering two questions, responses are coming through emails rather than public comments. It's flattering, but not quite hitting the mark.

Engaging with Listeners: What's Holding You Back?

In my conversations, including one with a friend from an old TV show in the 80s, we debated whether listeners are truly engaged or just hesitant to comment. He suggested they aren't listening, but I argue they are engaged, just not publicly. Is there fear or apathy? Let's find out together. I even proposed a hypothetical contest offering a 24-karat gold bar to see if that could motivate public responses.

Real-Life Generosity: A Story of Unexpected Kindness

Reflecting on acts of kindness, I shared a story about an older gentleman in Kansas who left a $100,000 tip for his favorite waitress, showing how unexpected generosity can change lives. This ties back to my question – could an enticing reward encourage more of you to engage publicly?

My website is a work in progress, I update its content as time allows as I am just a one "Mann" show - ha ha, so check for new things periodically, you will find interesting and entertaining things there.

Please consider, that by visiting the website and supporting this show, you're supporting an actual person, not some mega corporation, that wouldn't know human compassion if it hit them over the head!

Perhaps most importantly, by leaving a comment after you listen to an episode, your opinion or advice may help another person in this world more than you know, and I'm not kidding, I have seen it time and again, so leave a comment, and maybe change a person's life for the better!

Take care - Earnest
