Manage episode 373682281 series 2873578
DETAILS | Does anybody want to work anymore? Globally, work-induced stress remains at an all-time high, employee disengagement hit a 9-year high, and some stats speculate only 15% of employees are engaged at work! Has our perspective and paradigm around engagement, effort, and purpose at work fundamentally changed? Or are we just lazier now? In this supercharged episode, we debate this topic with the three fascinating women from the Everything and JACK podcast, bringing deep expertise and diverse perspectives. We explore wages, drive, generational differences, and where early education fails us! Further, the critical debate between hustle culture and work-life balance. We also discuss the bigger picture topics of rites of passage in our careers and how we actualize our dreams. It’s hard to understate how much fun this conversation was - five strong voices agreeing, disagreeing, and holding space for each other in a powerful exploration of a meteoric rise in disengagement in the workplace and where we go from here.
GUESTS | In this episode, we feature three incredible and dynamic women from the Everything and JACK podcast, “a show about family, work, a lot of money, a little travel and some sex …”
Dr. Cari Skrdla is a neuroscientist and the founder of LifeBack LLC; for personal and professional growth. Professionally, she is an authority in training and development. Through her dedication and focus, she has been the inspiration behind the personal and professional development methods that have changed many men’s and women’s lives. She is most proud of graduating from Clown University class of 1999 in Orlando, Florida.
Jeanne-Marie Eayrs is a no-nonsense yet compassionate high-performance coach, international speaker, and leads programs in the real estate industry. She has worked with thousands of people from all walks of life and culturally diverse backgrounds. She has lived on three continents and bought many a pair of shoes to fit her destinations. Jeanne-Marie has a love for elephants and raising awareness to assure their freedom and improve their quality of life.
Amy Sullivan Ryan has over 30 years in the wholesale automotive industry and has moved tens of thousands of vehicles across the country. She brings a refreshing level of integrity to the industry. An Arizona native, she’ll argue there’s no sunset more spectacular than those at the ranch. While renovating a vintage Airstream, she’s renovating her life as well. A mother of two incredible humans and one rotten doodle, she somehow makes wearing high heels and overalls a “thing.”
OVERVIEW | Are you ready to ADAPT and REINVENT YOURSELF for the most disrupted and digital workforce in history? What would it feel like to belong and not get stuck? It is estimated over 1 billion people will need reskilling by 2030, and more than 300 million jobs will be impacted by AI — work, identity, and what it means to be human are rapidly changing. Join hosts Nate Thompson and Alex Schwartz and the TOP VOICES in the Future of Work to uncover how to meet this dynamic new reality driven by AI, hybrid work, societal shifts, and our increasingly digital world. Discover why a Future of Work Mindset is your key to prepare, navigate and thrive!
