Attention Parents of Teenagers! This is part 2 of a 3 part series on parenting teens. If you missed week 1, listen to it here.
According to the CDC, mental health problems in youth often go hand-in-hand with other health and behavioral risks like increased risk of drug use, experiencing violence, and higher risk sexual behaviors.
In part 2 of our 3 part series on raising teens, licensed therapist Mary Weber is back to discuss what issues are most common with the young patients she sees (from anxiety to busy schedules), how to teach our teens resiliency instead of rescuing them, and ways we can come alongside our teens as parents, mentors, teachers and youth leaders.
As always, Mary approaches these topics with kindness, empathy, grace and truth while sharing practical tips you can implement immediately. Plus, she gives a pep talk to parents who may want (and need) to have a difficult conversation with their kids!
Mary Weber has been a licensed therapist for 36 years and is based out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She has been well trained and educated, has a mountain of experience, & a deep love for the Lord.
If you are the parent of a teenager, a youth leader in your church or if there are teens in your life who you love, don’t miss part 2 of this 3 part series.
