Today I am speaking to the inspirational activist, Amika George. Amika is the founder of the #FreePeriods campaign, which she began at the age of 17. In 2017 she started a petition campaigning for free period products in schools across the UK, and in 2020 it came into action, with the Government implementing schemes around schools uk wide!
In this episode we speak about Amika's journey into activism, challenging the stigma surrounding periods, and discuss harassment in bars and clubs. To support Amika's work visit:
