Stand-up comedian James Stanley tells us that becoming a comic is its own right of passage - to be a great headliner, you have to have been through all the tests, and by then, you’ve got to have the hour you need.
He earned his stripes. Most recently, he got stuck in a blizzard between Winona and Minneapolis, and a farm hand had to dig him out: literally!
With his life saved and his career rolling, he jams with Dan Bublitz Jr about performing in small towns, how/when to work on new stuff, doing political humor, sticking to your stuff in the face of the audience, and several useful merch ideas.
James Stanley

James Stanley started his journey in stand up comedy in 2013 when he was 16 years old. Now James works every clubs in Minneapolis and is beginning to tour more and more of the Country. James has opened for and worked with names in the comedy works such as Stavros Halkias, Sean Patton, Nimesh Patel, Dean Edwards, and Geoffrey Asmus. James is also one of the hosts of the ‘This Is Something, Man’ podcast and runs a weekly mic at Laugh Camp Comedy in St. Paul.
