They say that a person's upbringing plays a significant role in shaping their personality. What you see and imbibe as a child gets embedded in your psyche. So, when you've been exposed to diverse cultural experiences from a young age, having an affinity toward other people and their cultures comes naturally to you. Our guest this week, Karen Miller, is a perfect example of this. She was born in Berlin, raised in Cairo, and now lives in Switzerland with her Cameroonian-French husband. Her multicultural upbringing has made her into an open-minded person with compassion and empathy for others. After trying out different career options, she has now come into her own by becoming a leading voice in the space of DEI, advising businesses around the globe to incorporate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion into their culture. According to her Diversity is a Fact. Equity is a Choice. Inclusion is an Action. Belonging is an Outcome.
