3 Healthy Strategies to Counteract Feelings of Helplessness | Grow through What You're Going through A lot can happen in a day that we have no control over. This can be especially challenging when we ourselves are impacted by the outcome, and the outcome is largely outside our realm of control. With a focus on the end result we're looking for, and the miles that exist between where we want to be and this present moment... it's easy to feel helpless. Many of us do. Many of us forgot a time where we didn't feel helpless, and much of the things we do and choose not to do stem from how we've learned to manage that sense of helplessness. Having been stalked by my professor at UofT's Rotman's School of management for the last four years, across country and several other countries, I'm well acquainted with the feeling. All to say, part of my survivorship is learning how to constructively respond and adapt to those feelings of helplessness, rather than cave into them - hopefully these insights can support you, too.
