Daria Lourd (aka Bored Lord) is a Memphis born multidisciplinary and versatile artist. Daria formed roots in electronic music with production, notably her latest release on Knightwerk records. Her DJing skill was defined when she joined forces with the underground rave community in Oakland, California. With a recent relocation to Los Angeles, Daria has been churning out club ready and euphoric tracks on her personal Bandcamp as well as contributing remixes for other artists and labels. For Daria's guest mix on Sound Coalitions, her intention for the mix was "... trying to channel a struggle between euphoria and anger through a rave ready medium. I want it to be something you can put on while get ready to go to the club or drive around while high with your friends. But also I want you to be able to put headphones on and release a deeper emotion. I don't think I know how to make art that isn't both reflective of how I feel and how I view the world. Times are dark and the tone of a lot of the mix can reflect that. Darkness is also something that makes light that much brighter too, and in that sense, the tone can make better room for more euphoric tracks. But let's be real, at the end of the day it's just club tracks. Fucking dance to it."
