In this episode, we continue our Snowmobile Studs Mini Series, and dive into the details of how many studs you should use and what size is ideal for your setup.

- Old Rule of Thumb: 1 stud per horsepower.
- New Recommendations: 2, 3, or 4 studs per row based on horsepower and track length.
- Track Length: Different lengths require different quantities of studs.
- Lug Size: Determines the length of the stud you need.
- Ideal Height: Stud should be 3/8” above the lug for optimum traction and longevity.
Stud Size Recommendations:
- .85” and .88” lug: 1” stud.
- .910” lug: 1.075” stud.
- 1” lug: 1.175” stud.
- 1.25” or 1.35” lug: 1.375” stud.
- 1.375” lug: 1.5” stud.
- 1.5” or 1.6” lug: 1.625” stud.
