10 | Struggling to Find Your Quiet Time Routine as a New Mom? This One’s for You.
Manage episode 418118863 series 3565993
Hi, friend!
In today’s episode, I’m sharing some practical tips and encouragement on finding a consistent quiet time routine as a new mom. If you really want to be setting aside the time each day to sit with the Lord, read your Bible, really set aside that time to be prioritizing your faith and relationship with the Lord and the reality is you’re not-maybe it’s been harder than you thought to find a consistent quiet time routine after becoming a mom, trying to find the time that you can sit and not be interrupted 557 times, it feels like you don’t even have enough time to just get done what needs to get done around the house before the end of the day and your quiet time is at the top of the list every day but it just keeps slipping through the cracks day after day. Or maybe you’re in a season where one week will be great in this area and you feel like you finally have it figured out and then the next is a total flop, it just feels all over the place depending on what is going on in your life. No matter where you fall here, this episode is for you and I can’t wait to get into it.
Struggling to find a consistent quiet time routine as a new mom is a VERY COMMON struggle. You are not alone in this. When I’m talking to both friends of mine in real life, new friends in my FB community, students in my course, this is a very common struggle that comes up often. I hear so many of my friends mention that they had a great quiet time routine prior to having kids, they were able to get up when they wanted or needed to on their own schedule, make a coffee, sit down in the quiet and have fully focused, intentional time with the Lord. And any of us that are moms know that that picture is not necessarily always the reality once little ones show up in the picture.
Our schedule changes drastically, we have a tiny human(s) that need us 24/7 and there is never really a break from being a mom. Often, when we’re trying to set aside that time to have time with the Lord, a little one will wake up early or end up sick or teething or something will happen that will inevitably throw off the plan and we end up feeling like it just can never happen, everything is against us. I’m going to share some tips that have really transformed my mindset around quiet time as a mom, practical tips that have helped make that consistency actually happen as a regular rhythm in my life, and also some reality of what this actually looks like on both the “ideal days” and the not so ideal days. I pray that this episode is a blessing for you! Enjoy!
Hugs!
