With the Fourth of July behind us, we now look to the dog days of summer and fire season across much of the West. But, with historic levels of snowpack in the Sierra, what does our overall fire risk look like? And what can we do to help protect ourselves?

Then, he calls up the National Interagency Fire Center, or NIFC, in Boise to learn more about how wildfire response happens and how the center works.
