Kirsten Elstner is the driving force behind National Geographic Photo Camp and Visionary Workshops. She has brought her expertise since 2003 as a photographer and educator to over 35 countries, orchestrating 145 programs. Her work has been featured in the pages of publications such as Time, Life, The New York Times, and O Globo in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Kirsten’s commitment to education is evident through teaching at The International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York, Goucher College, the Art Institute of Boston, and the Corcoran Museum School in Washington, D.C.

Kirsten has not only curated exhibitions at prominent venues such as the John F. Kennedy Center and the United States Institute for Peace in Washington D.C. but has also taken the mission of National Geographic Photo Camp to international heights with showcases at the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo, Norway. Kirsten has left an indelible mark on the world, encouraging young people to harness the power of their voices through the art of photography.
