Stranger Danger, Nothing Good Happens in Clubland after 2am
Manage episode 407331811 series 3559479
Model Christy Giles and architectural student Hilda Mariela Cabrales Arzola we're friends, creative kindred spirits, and two beautiful young women with their whole lives ahead of them until a fashionable night out on the town in Los Angeles change their fate forever. Girls night out started with the girls getting dressed at home before moving to Soho House in West Hollywood. The night progressed to a rave at a big loft in downtown LA and ended in a tacky apartment in East LA with a group of predatorial strangers and a deadly amount of date rape drugs. There is no bright side to this dark story. These young ladies should have had no problem leaving alive. This is a serious warning for party people everywhere who tend to make fast friends with strange characters they’ve just met during alcohol and drug induced binge party nights out. I am always intrigued by the intuition that family and friends always have about their loved ones. It is that intuitive thinking, that haunting feeling in the pit of your stomach and that determination to find out where their friends had disappeared to that helped bring this tragic story all together so quickly. As the cold callus killers dumped the lifeless bodies of Chrissy and Hilda outside of two different hospitals in completely different areas of LA, Chrissy's husband, who was visiting up north for the weekend and two friends took two social media immediately trying to put the clues together to figure out where their friends ended up. They followed the pings, Googled up posts, and reported it to the police who were hot on the case of the repeat offender d-list extra actor and his crew of killers in no time. Unfortunately murder can happen in moments, but it takes a lot of time to prove the guilt of these creepy killers.
