Your host, Matthew Pohl, talks with the Founder and CEO of Jimmy Burroughes Leadership, Jimmy Burroughes. Jimmy's career journey is divided into three distinct chapters. The first chapter began with his role as an army officer during the Second Gulf War, where he faced extreme leadership challenges. The second chapter saw him climbing the corporate ladder in New Zealand, eventually becoming the GM of an eight-figure business. However, in 2017, Jimmy experienced burnout, leading him to step out of the corporate world and enter the third chapter of his life.
In this third chapter, Jimmy focused on understanding why he burned out and connecting with others who had similar experiences. He realized that many high-performing individuals were desperate to regain their peak performance levels. This realization led him to the space of helping leaders and their teams overcome burnout and become high-performing again. This journey ultimately led to the creation of his business advisory services company, JBL.
