Having to really realize that we are not in control of our lives is probably the hardest thing to do for me. It was because I was someone who wanted to control my life because I wanted everything to work in my favor. However, going through life, I realized it doesn't work like that, and in fact, it wasn't until I relinquished my need to have control that I was truly able to allow myself to control my life.
