Olivia Cooke said in an interview that her character in HOTD, Alicent Hightower, has a bunch of kids that quote “are all f---ing weird”. And you know what, she’s right. But it’s her second child, Princess Halaena, that is maybe the most “f—ing weird” of them all. She seems to speak nonsense, has a love of collecting insects, and neither her siblings nor her parents seem to understand her at all. Because Halaena doesn’t speak nonsense at all, she has the gift of prophecy and no one around her realizes it. She may not seem it, but Halaena may be the most important of her siblings to House of the Dragon as she has the gift of sight. Daenys the dreamer come again. And Larys Strong may have noticed.
