Episode 264: Divided Album Series | "Speed Of Sound"
Manage episode 449288783 series 2453949
Welcome To November 2Legs Listeners!
For our first new show of the month we revisit a series we did a few weeks back called "Divided Albums." This time we chose that oft-neglected and overlooked Spring 1976 LP Wings at The Speed of Sound. This album routinely ranks pretty low in the Macca/Wings canon by most fans/critics because of its paint by numbers democratic approach. Despite having two huge hit singles in 'Silly Love Songs' (US #1) and 'Let 'Em In' (US #3). Which makes the album kind of an anomaly in his career. We both think it's a fine album but in the career of Paul McCartney some albums will naturally outshine others. Does it divide the fanbase? Probably. How do you rank the tracks and the album overall? Let us know in the comments!
Peace!
