Have you ever been surprised by your own reaction to something—fine one moment, then suddenly overwhelmed? Most of us struggle to explain what’s happening inside when we feel triggered or hijacked.

Paul put it well: “I decide one way, but then I act another… Something has gone wrong deep within me.” (Romans 7:15, 20)

This struggle is nothing new, but thanks to modern psychology, we’re gaining insight into how our minds and our psyches work—helping us understand and regain control.

In Week 2 of our Hijack series, we’ll start identifying the inner voices that shape our behavior, often without us realizing it.
