The time of witches, ghosts, and pumpkins has arrived, dear folks. Welcome to our spooky special, uploaded under the wire and in time for the holiday season! In tonight's tale of macabre, Jake, Becky, and Sammy the cat take you to an unlikely place for cursed creatures—the haunted halls of our nation's capital as seen in the 1973 tv special, The Werewolf of Washington. Jack Whittier, played by Dean Stockwell, is a reporter who is summoned back to Washington D.C. with a job he can't refuse from the president of the United States. What Jack doesn't mention is that he's been the victim of a vicious wolf attack that leaves him a teensy bit inclined to howl at the moon. What follows is a retelling of the classic werewolf story as if it were to happen in the heyday of American politics back in the 70s: all Jack wants is to leave the president's Hotel California, but things aren't going to be that easy when you're trying to appease the most powerful man in the free world by day and terrorizing our nation's citizens and the president's political opponents by night. It's a tough life for a lycanthrope regardless of the era or the political regime they happen to live in. And lastly, a big shout out and thanks to our friend John for the suggestion that made this episode possible!
