Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work at that high paying, lucrative, dream job that everyone else talks about? Would you be better off with all that extra income? What kind of person would you be in that environment? And finally, would you be actually be fulfilled and happy? In this episode of the Screwed Up Moments podcast, we explore these issues with the story of Yap Wei Ren.
Wei Ren had led a relatively easy life, cruising through his days at polytechnic, the army, university, and eventually landing himself at his dream job of being a ship broker. Reality however, was much harsher than fantasy, when Wei Ren was met with a high-stress environment, difficult customers, constant anxiety, sleeping troubles, burnout, until eventually, he quit his dream job.
