In this conversation, Lourdes Cardozo-Gaibisso, a former Uruguayan Middle School teacher, discusses her research about language and science in the United States. Lourdes is currently completing her Ph.D. at The University of Georgia’s College of Education in the Department of Language and Literacy Education. She is a research assistant for the National Science Foundation funded Language-Rich Inquiry Science with English Language Learners through Biotechnology project (LISELL-B). Lourdes shared some insights about her research as well as findings, myths, and truths about how emergent bilingual learners acquire and develop the language of science.

En esta conversación, Lourdes Cardozo-Gaibisso, ex profesora de enseñanza media en Uruguay explica su investigación sobre el lenguaje y la ciencia en los Estados Unidos. Lourdes actualmente está completando su Doctorado en la Facultad de Educación de la Universidad de Georgia en el Departamento de Lenguaje y Alfabetización. Ella es Asistente de Investigación para el proyecto LISELL-B, financiado por la Fundación Nacional de Ciencias de los Estados Unidos.
