Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. He joined Caroline in 1977, touring the country with the Caroline Roadshow for 10 years, having great fun. Barry helped with tender trips and worked on the Ross Revenge in '84 and '85. ...

While they may be just on the fringes of what we talk about on the show, The Dangerous Summer are front and center in our hearts. In 2009 the band dropped one of the greatest albums of all time, Reach For the Sun. The award-winning album opener (I mean, we picked it in our album openers draft) Where I Want to be is the perfect amalgamation of angst, existential dread, and self-awareness that this band would become cherished for for albums and iterations to come… WITH DELAY PEDALS!
We talk about favorite memories of seeing the band live, how 3 new friends were made at their shows, favorite yard games, regrettable accessories, and the music video.
