Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!
The final Summer showcase presentation of the big 3 has happened, and now we know what the big N has up their sleeves for the rest of the year, as well as what we can expect going into 2025. This direct was a big surprise, with some heavy hitters that remained a secret until their announcement at this show. I would have never guessed a couple of these announcements, especially for a system that is currently in its 8th year of life, with an announcement of a successor expected to be just around the corner. Much like the Xbox Games Showcase that preceded it, this Nintendo Direct was a major success and brought back some of the excitement we used to get with E3.
