Launching a franchise, especially in a new state, is daunting enough, but focusing on a niche like lakefront properties adds another layer of complexity.

Chris “The Lake Realtor” Mosier, broker and listing agent at Lake Front Living joins me to talk about her journey owning a franchise and growing it nationally and how she found her passion in lake homes.

As the driving force behind Ohio's Premier Lakefront Realtor Brokerage, Chris Mosier's mission is to unite buyers and sellers of lakefront properties across the state. Since founding Lakefront Living Realty—The Lake Team in 2015, the brokerage has expanded to include four virtual offices located at Hoover Reservoir, Apple Valley Lake, Candlewood Lake, and Put-In-Bay. Each office is staffed with resident realtor specialists who have an intimate knowledge of their respective lakes and markets. Chris is also excited about adding Buckeye Lake and Indian Lake to the roster this season. The brokerage's membership in every MLS in the state ensures that their listings receive statewide exposure, catering to buyers who prefer to be within a 2-3 hour driving radius from their home. Their custom website simplifies the search process, focusing solely on lake homes.

In 2017, Chris partnered to franchise Lakefront Living Realty International, which is now operating in 12 states and is steadily working toward a nationwide presence—one lake at a time. Chris is honored to have been recognized in Entrepreneur Magazine's Franchise 500 for 2023, a distinction achieved by less than 5% of real estate franchisors. Although not yet ranked, Chris is determined to change that in the coming year, with eyes set on global lakefront domination.
