In this final episode of a 10 part series we will have conversations with couples and individuals who continue to navigate the Pandemic either in partnership or without partnership and to dive deeper into how relationships are handling this ongoing pandemic as we enter the second full year.

Marisol and Adam catch up with their doula, Chama Woydak and deep dive into the circular and interconnected understanding of family trauma, creating chosen families and deep friendships, the hurt and grief that comes with losing those friends, and the idea of collective community care. Covid really brought to light the different ways we define community care or health and that wreaked havoc on our families, friendships, communities and country. Listen in as Marisol, Adam, and Chama break it down and bring it all together in a metaphor about corn.

Chama Woydak has been attending births as a birth doula in Asheville since 1999 and teaching childbirth education classes since 2002. She is a full spectrum birth, death and postpartum and abortion doula, a Lamaze childbirth educator, a DONA International Birth Doula trainer, a Holding Space for Pregnancy Loss Instructor and the Strategic Doula Advisor for Sistas Caring 4 Sistas, a community-based doula program located at MAHEC. Chama is the owner of Homegrown Families a perinatal health center and doula agency, is a mother of two daughters and lives on a farm outside of Asheville NC.
