HELLO AND WELCOME TO the RADIO DAYZ!..The Podcast... of course you can hear this podcast on buzzsprout and all the major podcast platforms..and you can also watch the podcast via youtube and at ron robinson studios.com...very excited about this weeks show..as we are goona do something a little different...As you may or may not know..I am finishing up a docu-series about the history of Radio called Radio Dayz...101 Years of Radio...In it ...I cover every era of Radio from its inception in 1920...to current day...and As I've been editing this docuseries....I was reminded of my favorite ear of Radio....FYI if you were born in the 1980's or later you likely wont remember The Free Form era of FM Radio....until the 1970's...FM Radio was not what most people listened to as all of the most popular radio stations were found on the AM Dial...IN fact FM Radio was not available in most cars...Well in the 1970's all around the country...Am Stations were turning their FM stations over to long haired Rock and Roll Loving Hippies...In Detroit it was stations like WABX...W4 and WXYZ which evolved into WRIF....that were playing...what they wanted...and Talking on the air for chunks of time...It was very much an environmnet where you could do a long form interview with a local act or musician...With that in mind...In this Episode which is brought to you by Team 71 Mortgage group and Radio Dayz...the Movie...today we are going to take look at Detroit band Holland Finch and to do that...I welcome in lead Singer for Holland Finch...Alex Sands
