Kelly is the Community Outreach and Volunteer Engagement Manager at University Beyond Bars, a nonprofit organization providing a range of college coursework (as well as transferable AA and BA degrees) to incarcerated individuals at the Washington State Reformatory. In addition to their discussion of UBB's work, Kelly and Elena also talk about Kelly's experience in college with Freedom Education Project Puget Sound, and the ways that this work has transformed Kelly's understanding of what education is and can be.
