Tempest Minerals Ltd (ASX:TEM) managing director Don Smith is back in the Proactive studio after the company received permitting approvals for a drilling program at the Remorse copper-zinc target, part of the flagship Yalgoo Project in Western Australia. The initial plan is to complete 5,000 metres using a reverse circulation (RC) drilling rig, expected to start in mid-July. Of course, the program's commencement is contingent on the completion of earthworks, which had previously been delayed due to heavy rainfall partially flooding the area. The Remorse target was selected based on geochemical and geophysical anomalies identified during surveys, wherein Tempest has interpreted a 4-kilometre area as prospective for copper-zinc mineralisation. To further investigate, the company conducted a second extensional geochemical survey, collecting some 80 soil samples. These samples will undergo Ultrafine assay and Boxscan technology for comprehensive analysis, with results also expected in mid-July. With the permit approvals in hand, Tempest has confirmed that all preparations are complete and the team is ready to begin earthworks and drilling as soon as weather and ground conditions permit. The announcement comes soon after the explorer secured the rubber stamp for an exploration incentive scheme (EIS) grant, expected to co-fund exploration over the FiveWheels Base Metals Project in Western Australia. The grant will provide $230,000 in funding to support the program, which will take place in the 2024-25 financial year. Consequently, Tempest is gearing up for an airborne gravity and magnetic geophysical survey over the FiveWheels asset, which bears geographical similarities to Rumble Resources Ltd (ASX:RTR, OTC:RTRFF) and Strickland Metals Ltd (ASX:STK)'s nearby base metals discoveries. #ProactiveInvestors #TempestMinerals #ASX #TEM #YalgooProject #CopperZinc #DrillingProgram #WesternAustralia #Mining #MineralExploration #GeochemicalSurvey #GeophysicalSurvey #SoilSampling #RCDrilling #Earthworks #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews
