Stephannie Weikert is an inspirational yoga teacher and yoga therapist, who’s on a mission to make yoga simple. Certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists, she has taught thousands of clients and students to use simple yoga to manage stress and experience more peace every day. After overcoming stress-related anxiety with yoga herself Stephannie, trained in Integrative Yoga Therapy and has studied with leading teachers including: Elena Brower, Desiree Rumbaugh, Sianna Sherman, Noah Maze, Jillian Pransky, and Max Strom. She is the creator of the transformative programs Shift Happens and Make Peace with Stress. In this episode Stephannie teaches you how to integrate Yoga in our every day life by following simple practices. She also shares her spectacular meditation formula Pause N.O.W which is described below Pause N.O.W. NOTICE / First your physical body, just feel it and observe what’s happening. Then your breath and heart beat, watch both for a moment. Finally your mind, imagine you’re a fly on the wall inside your own head, listen. OPEN This moment is an opportunity to be intentional if you’re open to it. You can shift your unwanted patterns if you recognize that the unwanted pattern (of stressing, worrying, etc) is an opportunity to try something different. WISH Decide on a course of internal action. How do you want to think? How do you want to feel? What type of person do you want to be? Align your next, simple action with the answers to these questions. I wish to be calm, so I’ll focus on this one thing right now. I wish to be strong, so I’ll acknowledge my fear and match it with courage. I wish to be balanced, so I’ll say no to taking on more. Focus on your wish for yourself, it’s the only thing you can definitely do something about.
