Jim is joined by Adam Darowski, Head of User Experience at Sports Reference, to break down down the hall of fame candidacy of former Negro League star John Beckwith. First, Adam breaks down the full history of former Negro League stars and their path to Cooperstown (8:39). Next, Jim and Adam discuss what type of offensive numbers Beckwith may have put up if he had been given the opportunity to play in the National or American League and how Beckwith compares to several Negro League players that have already been inducted into Cooperstown (50:58). Finally, Adam and Jim take a look at the top Negro League players that don't have a plaque in Cooperstown today (65:04), before making a final call on whether or not Beckwith belongs in the Baseball Hall of Fame (72:11).
