This Family Doctor Successfully Merged Medicine and Marketing in a Medspa
Manage episode 377385339 series 1755425
In this week’s episode, John interviews Dr. Rachael Degurse. Dr. Degurse is a board-certified family physician who developed a desire to build more freedom and control in her life. After doing a lot of soul-searching, she believed that starting her own business would be the best way to accomplish that.
She wanted to interact with clients in a way that is similar to treating patients. And she wanted to use her medical skills and experience. So, she decided a medical spa, or medspa, would be her best option.
She opened her medspa almost 2 years ago, after quickly learning the essential legal and financial knowledge she would need. Since then, she has slowly built the business while learning about contracting, and marketing and becoming certified in the most popular procedures she needs to offer in a competitive medspa business.
During our conversation, she describes what she has done, and offers advice for listeners considering a similar decision.
