Both Oregon and Oregon State rolled through their NCAA Regional matchups and are each now two wins from advancing to Omaha for the College World Series. The two schools have never reached the CWS in the same year. In fact, the Ducks haven’t reached Omaha since 1954. Is it time they finally snap their 70-year hiatus?

On this week’s episode, columnist Bill Oram and Brenna Greene of KOIN discuss the dominant weekends of both teams — even if Oregon State’s final victory over UC Irvine took nearly 20 hours.

Also on this episode:

• Bill talks about the joys of helping coach his son’s Little League team for the first time.

• How Brenna navigated a 16-hour rain delay in Corvallis and the key takeaways from the Beavers' offensive explosion over the weekend.

• Why this season might mark a high point in the overall health of college baseball in the state of Oregon

• Thoughts on the news that the Blazers spent $4.6 million to buy a lot next to their Tualatin headquarters and what it says about Jody Allen’s investment in the franchise.
