In this episode, we explore the evolving concept of "purpose" through the lens of the past century. From the aftermath of World War I to the present day, we will examine how global events, cultural shifts, and personal beliefs have influenced our understanding of purpose. I want to dissect it all! Let's talk different perspectives on purpose—biological, psychological, social, philosophical, and spiritual—and reflect on how these ideas have changed over time + my own purpose.
What we discuss:
  • The challenge and complexity of defining purpose, and the role of personal interpretation.
  • Historical perspectives on purpose over the last 100 years - Digital revolution and global crises influencing personal identity
  • Reflection on well-being, community support, and global solidarity and how COVID times impacted our ideas of purpose
  • What actually is purpose and how do we find it?
  • Can we have multiple or do we need 1 defined purpose to make it meaningful?
  • How can we search intentionally for purpose?
